ATV Accident Claims Life of Stamford Man

A Stamford man was killed Monday in an ATV accident that occurred on a riding trail.According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Reed was riding a side-by-side utility vehicle when he lost control of the vehicle which subsequently overturned. Reed was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. The accident was discovered and reported by other ATV riders who came upon the crash scene. Investigators say excessive speed and failure to wear a seat belt were contributing factors in Reed’s death.
