Area Airports Get Federal Funding to Offset Losses

U.S. Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand have  announced that three area airports will receive federal funding to help maintain operations after limited operations due to COVID-19. They are Albert S. Nader Regional Airport in the Town of Oneonta, the Lt Warren Eaton Airport in Norwich and the Sidney Municipal Airport.

Each airport received $13,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration under the Department of Transportation. Twelve airports across New York State requiring urgent financial support are sharing in close to $2.5 million to offset operating expenses due to substantial revenue loss.
