April 22 Update on COVID-19 Cases in Our Local Area

COVID-19 confirmed cases are climbing in Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties. As of yesterday afternoon, Delaware County Public Health reported a total of 62 confirmed coronavirus cases which means they had no new cases yesterday. In Chenango County, one additional case was reported bringing the total to 79. Otsego County Department of Health is reporting 55 total COVID-19 cases (as of April 20) with a total of 4 deaths in the county from coronavirus.

According to the NYS Department of Health, there are currently 251,690 cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the state with 4178 new cases confirmed statewide yesterday.

Please note that the number of confirmed cases does not reflect the actual number of cases because of limited testing for the virus.
