Get ready, get set, more snow is coming starting tonight.  The groans are almost audible from Central New York residents and I am among them.  Who thinks we have more than enough snow?  I do!  Too bad for snow haters, another storm system is moving in to the region starting tonight and going through tomorrow, bringing the white stuff.

Here's the latest report from the National Weather Service
"THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR CENTRAL NEW YORK...A STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION TONIGHT. LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOWFALL IS LIKELY LATE MONDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. THE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE QUICKLY ACROSS THE REGION...HOWEVER A GENERAL 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE."

Here's the good news...it would seem that we Central New Yorkers won't have to worry about any drought issues this year with all this precipitation that just keeps coming and you get to enjoy plenty of winter snow fun.  It's a great week to get those kids on school vacation out shoveling and having fun in the snow.

And if you think that it seems like one of the snowiest winters in a while, then you're right.  According to the National Weather Service out of Binghamton, we have had about 76 inches of snowfall so far this season which is 21 inches more than the average season.  That information is based on 30 years of data collected by the N.W.S.
