50,000 Tickets Given Across NYS During ‘Speed Week’

New York State Troopers and local law enforcement handed out more than 50,000 tickets during this year’s Speed Week enforcement campaign that ran from Aug. 6 through Aug.12. Over 4 in 10 of those tickets were for speeding with the others for other vehicle and traffic law violations, such as impaired and distracted driving. The total ticket count was more than twice the number handed out during the 2019 Speed Week.
