We have one major thing in common: we all have at least one bad habit. It's that promise of instant gratification that we seem to get whenever we indulge in a bad habit and then other times, we have no idea why we do it.  But as we all know, bad habits are called "bad" for a reason.  Here are some of the most common bad habits:

1. Overeating and/or eating unhealthy foods:  This can lead to health problems.

2. Smoking: 'nuff said.

3. Gossiping: Usually, people who don't have enough to do are the ones talking about others.  One thing to remember, if you're talking about someone else, would you want them talking about you?  Food for thought.

4. Over spending.  Ask yourself, "Do I really need this?"

5. Taking drugs and/or over indulging in alcohol.  Since when did numbing out ever solve problems?

So now what do you do to break your bad habits?  Here's what WebMD suggests:

1: Make It Conscious
2: Put It in Writing So It Really Sinks In
3: Bait and Switch (temporarily substitute bad habit with something else)
