4 Oneonta Businesses Win Microenterprise Program Awards
City of Oneonta Mayor Gary Herzig has announced Microenterprise Program awards to assist four local small businesses. Grants totaling $52,600 in remaining funds for the current Microenterprise Program will be provided to the four businesses for equipment and working capital costs. The four award recipients being announced are: Shakedown Street's "Share Your Wear Online Store", Noah’s World, Wolfhound Studio, and Sunrise Catering, Inc.
All Microenterprise Program applications were reviewed by the Project Review Committee. Mayor Herzig congratulated the recipients of the funding, saying "the grants will help strengthen the city’s small business community. In the last five years, more than $550,000 has been awarded assisting 29 local business startup and expansions. The grants are made possible through New York State's Homes and Community Renewal for their support and confidence in investing in the people of the City
