Yes veterans Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman have joined forces under the name ARW (presumably because WAR is taken and RAW just doesn't describe their sound), and announced a 2016 tour featuring an evening of music from their former band.

"To be able to sing and perform with Rick and Trevor at this time in my life is a treasure beyond words," Anderson declares in a press release. "I'm so excited to create new music and revisit some of the classic work we created many years ago, it's going to be a musical adventure on so many new levels."

ARW's lineup bridges the two most famous eras of Yes. Singer Anderson co-founded the group back in 1968, and other than two brief departures, remained their frontman until his seemingly permanent exit in 2008. Wakeman's keyboards helped define the band's sound during its '70s progressive rock heyday, while Rabin's guitar work helped bring Yes to their highest commercial peak in the '80s with more compact, pop-leaning songs such as "Owner of a Lonely Heart."

"Trevor and I have wanted to play Yes music together since the Union Tour," summarizes Wakeman. "And as for so many of us, there is no Yes music without Jon. The 'Holy Trinity of Yes' is, for me, very much a dream come true."

There's no word on who will fill in the group's touring lineup – presumably they'll add at least one drummer if not more – but the trio reports that it's already at work on new studio material.
