The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) will be coming to Oneonta and Cooperstown this Memorial Weekend for games you'll never forget. These men have sustained severe injuries resulting in amputations and through extensive rehabilitation, they have become competitive athletes again, playing against able -bodied teams in exhibition games across the country.

WWAST's mission is to inspire and educate others while enhancing the health and welfare of Wounded Warrior Amputees.  The first game of this coming weekend is on Saturday, May 23rd at 4pm (gates open at 3pm) at Oneonta's Damaschke Field in Neahwa Park as WWAST takes on Oneonta Police and Fire Departments. Then they'll be heading to Cooperstown on Sunday for a doubleheader beginning at 12:30pm in historic Doubleday Field to battle Cooperstown Fire and Police Departments and Veterans. Tickets are $5.
