Do you have an issue with paying for the hundreds of channels on your Tv that you DON'T watch?  It seems like there's no real solution for this problem where everyone can get what the want and the company delivering the service can still make a buck.  It looks like Apple may have come up with the solution.  (You can win an Apple TV box!) There has been a lot of buzz about the new Apple TV, which Steve Jobs was working on at the time of his death. According to industry expert Gene Munster, this is what we can expect:
- The Apple TV device will be unveiled later this year and go on sale in early 2013.
- Cost between $1,500 and $2,000.
- It will include voice-controlled Siri and connect to the Apple App Store for games and music.
- It will permit viewers to buy channels separately instead of bundled as is the case now with cable, and store recorded shows in a data "cloud," not on the set itself.

The innovations will mean the end of watching your favorite shows according to a network schedule or pay for channels you don't use.  Now if you're me, you're thinking this sounds great, except I do have some cynicism in me too.  Are they making all their money in the upfront cost of the Tv or are they planning on making their money on the sale of Tv apps and games?  My guess is the latter.  As long as there isn't a monthly usage fee that they keep increasing, then it certainly sounds like a good deal.  I guess that remains to be seen.
