According to published reports, shortly after 8pm last night, Delhi firefighters were called out to an explosion at the Delhi American Legion. Various reports say that the fire was started by a minivan that ran into a large propane tank located immediately behind the American Legion and next to the burning building. Burning debris was spotted in several locations between the American Legion hall and the Delaware River. The vehicle involved in the incident was driven by a male who suffered severe burns and was taken by ambulance to O'Connor hospital. People inside the building were evacuated without any injuries.
