I've seen some unusual animals on my sojourns around our beautiful upstate NY but I've certainly never seen a herd of buffalo on the loose!  I guess you just have to be a the right place at the right time.

If I'd been in the town of Schodack, a few miles southeast of Albany last Thursday, I would have gotten an eyeful as a group of 15 buffalo were seen crossing the Hudson River, on the lam from a farm in that area.  Police attempted to round them up with no success and sadly, the owner of the animals hired shooters to put them all down.
