Unadilla Man Arrested On Several Charges

The City of Oneonta Police Department with assistance from the New York State Police arrested a 27 year old Unadilla man Tuesday on Numerous charges. Jason Cousins was arrested for 1st degree burglary, 1st degree attempted robbery, 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 2nd degree assault, 4th degree criminal Possession of Stolen Property and 2nd degree menacing. Police say the charges are based upon an investigation into a home invasion robbery in which Cousins allegedly entered a private residence in the City of Oneonta, allegedly displayed a handgun and attempted to take property that did not belong to him. While in the course of the robbery attempt, Cousins allegedly struck and injured one of the victims. Cousins then fled the scene and was later apprehended and taken into custody.
