How It Works
The purpose of the Townsquare Media Idol talent search is to develop and encourage amateur entertainers throughout Otsego, Chenango, Delaware Counties and surrounding community area residents to join in on the fun.
Townsquare Media Idol will provide winners with the opportunity to perform at local venues throughout the year and record at Transition Records.
The competition is limited to pre-registered contestants and will be held at The Oneonta Theatre on Chestnut Street in Oneonta, NY.
A panel of judges will select contestants to proceed to the next step of the competition. The contestants chosen will be contacted.
The winner may be asked throughout the year to perform at other Townsquare Media events.
The grand prize winner will win $2,500, a recording session at Transitions Studios in Afton, and the opportunity to have their song play on WSRK.
Second place receive $500.
Third place will receive $250.
