According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office, two people have been arrested in a case of animal cruelty that resulted in the removal of over 100 animals from their Otsego County home. Police say William Desimone, and Gabrielle Bastian, both of New Lisbon, kept over two dozen geese, 20 pigs, 13 sheep and 13 chickens along with numerous other animals in deplorable conditions at their Backus Road residence.  Desimone and Bastian were arraigned in Town of New Lisbon Court and are due back April 25th.The Susquehanna Animal Shelter was called in to assist with removing the animals and finding them homes.
