Susquehanna SPCA On Adopting Cats With Feline Leukemia

The Susquehanna SPCA just outside of Cooperstown on Route 28, just started a new live video series on Friday called "Featured Pet Friday".  You can check it out on their facebook page.  The first adoptable animal introduced in this weekly video series was "Sam", a beautiful male, black, long-haired cat with Feline Leukemia (FeLV).

I think when most of us hear the term Feline Leukemia, we think, "I sure don't want to adopt a cat with that!", not really knowing what that necessarily means, just thinking the worst.  Vet Tech Sara explains in the video that because Sam has FeLV, he can't live with other cats but it's fine for him to be with dogs and ferrets and he actually really enjoys it!
