SUNY Oneonta Alum Killed at Empire State Building Shooting

SUNY Oneonta alum Steven Ercolino was shot and killed by gunman Jeffrey Johnson on Friday morning at the Empire State Building.

SUNY Oneonta president Nancy Kleniewski issued the following statement:

"We were saddened to learn that a member of our Oneonta alumni community was the victim of this tragic and senseless killing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Steve’s family."

Ercolino was Johnson's boss and the apparent target of the attack. Ercolino graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1992.

Johnson was shot and killed at the scene by New York City police.
