A Sign That Spring Is Coming [Photos]

Sunday afternoon, the kids and I were returning home from the movies and as I was parking the car I caught a glimpse of something.  It was something green!  We got out of the car and walked over to a spot where the snow had melted away revealing a patch of dead plants.  Peeking up out of the ground were my day lilies!

Not just one or two shoots, but several.  Spring is on it's way!  Before I got too excited, I thought I had better see if the daffodils were starting to grow.

Problem is, they are still under a huge pile of snow.  Until that melts, I'll peek out of my kitchen window at the day lilies for a little hope of warmer days.  I know they'll probably get buried again soon, but I'm enjoying the moment.
