State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) announced Tuesday that non-profit organizations throughout the 51st senatorial district have been awarded a total of $2.8 million through the Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program (NCIP).

"Our non-profit organizations offer diverse, supportive services and enhance the quality of life for those who live and work in our communities,” Seward said. “In many instances, these non-profits also serve as major employers and help drive our local economy.  The planned improvements will help meet growing needs and challenges and transform lives for the better.”

The grants are from $100 million in state budget funds for human services nonprofits to improve the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of programs and services delivered to New York individuals and families.
