Five Girl Scouts were recognized recently at a Girls Scouts of NYPenn Pathways Young Women of Distinction luncheon with the highest award in Girl Scouts, the Girl Scout Gold Award. To earn the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award, girls are challenged to change the world. They complete a multi-step take action project that solves a community problem for years into the future. And one of the recipients is from Delaware County. Rebecca Jones is a graduate of Roxbury Central School and currently attends SUNY Cobleskill. Her project is entitled “America’s Best!” and focuses on helping veterans gain knowledge and access to the many services, organizations and benefits available to them. Jones' project included creating and maintaining a website with links to many of the organizations and programs available.
