The Otsego County Department of Health reports that a skunk from the town of Otego tested positive for rabies on Wednesday. Health officials say the skunk was shot and sent to the state lab for rabies testing while two unvaccinated dogs that were exposed will be humanely euthanized. It is state law that all dogs, cats and ferrets be vaccinated for rabies. A free rabies clinic is scheduled for Wednesday from 6 to 8pm at the Otego Fire Department.
