Supporters of a higher minimum wage want New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to push the issue in a lame-duck legislative session before Republicans take control of the state Senate next year. The Democratic governor says he doesn't expect lawmakers to convene before January. Meanwhile, a state board is considering whether to raise the minimum wage for servers and other tipped workers. The panel meets Thursday in Buffalo.
