Officials say three people were killed when their small plane crashed in upstate New York. The FAA says it was a single-engine Piper PA-28 that crashed and burned Saturday evening just before 7 p.m. in a heavily wooded area. Sheriff Tony Desmond says autopsies are scheduled for today. He says a fourth person in the plane was airlifted to a hospital and details on the survivor’s condition weren’t available. Desmond says it is believed the plane was headed for Connecticut.
