On April 19th, troopers at State Police, Oneonta arrested Patrick F. Kiegel, 49, of New Lisbon for unlawful imprisonment in the first degree, a felony, as well as menacing and assault, both misdemeanors.

The arrest was reportedly the result of a dispute at a residence on Lena Road in New Lisbon, Otsego County. Officials say that Kiegel had repeatedly threatened to strike the victim with a hammer. He also pulled the victim’s hair out and held the victim against their will.

Kiegel was arraigned in the Town of New Lisbon Court and was remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail. An order of protection was also issued against him.
