If you enjoy a festive parade, then don't miss the Oneonta Holiday parade which always brings Santa to town.  This wonderful parade is set for Saturday, November 22nd at 11am with a very special performance by Ethan Harris of Garrattsville, NY who was a top 15 contestant in 2014's American Idol singing competition!  Ethan will do a short set of holiday songs from his upcoming album before the parade in the Muller Plaza beginning around 10:40am.  If you want a sneak peek of his music from the album while it was being recorded check out the video below.

The parade line-up is on Market Street and will proceed up to Main Street via Chestnut and march down Main St.  Bring a non-perishable food item or items to assist the Girl Scouts collect for families in need.  They will be pushing shopping carts in the parade so just drop food in the carts to donate.  You can also bring an unwrapped new toy for a child for Toys For Tots as there will donation collections during the parade for that program as well.

Also featured in this year's parade, the Fokine Ballet Company's "The Nutcracker" mice who will be handing out information on their upcoming performance of that holiday classic  on December 19th and 20th.  Following in the parade the mice will be making appearances at different Downtown Oneonta businesses handing out clues to families who would like to participate, as part of a scavenger hunt to give away free tickets to "The Nutcracker".
