The City of Oneonta Common Council along with the Town of Oneonta Fire District have okayed the proposed agreement for fire protection services. Both sides have agreed on a three-year contract, under which the Fire District will pay $1.03 million this year, $1.05 million next year and $1.1 million in 2018. This proposal was the result of a session in State Supreme Court in Cooperstown before Judge Michael Coccoma on January 22nd.
