This Saturday the Oneonta Farmers’ Market will play host to a culinary team from the SUNY Oneonta Food Services department.  Students will perform a cooking demonstration with step-by-step instructions on how to prepare a gourmet dish using locally-made farmer’s market foods.  Stop by the table to learn more about the SUNY Oneonta Food Services department and try a delicious free sample.

Live music begins at 10am with bluesman, Mike Herman, who will treat the crowd to a foot-stomping blend of American traditional music styles including blues, bluegrass, and rag-time, recalling the sounds of Robert Johnson, Son House, Taj Mahal and Doc Watson.

Tasty and decorative local produce at the market this Saturday, will include vendors will include squash, pumpkins, eggplant, cabbage, garlic, brussels sprouts, onions, greens, carrots, radishes, beets, tomatoes, apples, pears, raspberries, and more, as well as cut flower bouquets, potted mums and ferns, maple products, honey, meats and poultry, eggs, baked goods, specialty sauces, and handmade wood crafts.

The Oneonta Farmers’ Market accepts WIC and Senior Coupons . The Oneonta Farmers' Market is held every Saturday throughout the season from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Oneonta’s Main Street Plaza under the white canopies right in front of the Clarion Hotel. Rain or shine!
