Norwich Woman Sentenced For Bank Robberies

A woman who admitted committing two bank robberies earlier this year was sentenced Wednesday in Broome County Court. 36 year old Jamie Blewett of Norwich will serve consecutive state prison terms of one to three years, making her maximum sentence six years. Blewett plead guilty in July to two counts of robbery and two counts of grand larceny. Blewett robbed a teller at the Peoples Security Bank and Trust on Upper Front Street in Binghamton, NY on May 1, 2015 stealing more than 1600 dollars in cash. A week later she robbed another branch of the same bank in Conklin, NY stealing over 2500 dollars in cash.
