A convicted murderer from New Berlin will not be getting a new trial following a ruling Wednesday by a state appeals court. Ganesh Ramsaran was convicted in 2014 of killing his wife Jennifer and in 2016 the state Appellate Division Third Department granted Ramsaran a new trial ruling he had ineffective assistance of counsel. Four months ago that decision was reversed by the state’s Court of Appeals and that decision was affirmed by a lower court this week.
