Thanks to a new deal with Universal Music, Robert Plant‘s appearance on the long-running ‘Artists Den’ concert series is headed to DVD and Blu-ray.

The new release, titled ‘Robert Plant & the Band of Joy: Live from the Artists Den,’ is scheduled for a July 10 release, and signals a shift in distribution for the Artists Den, who were previously aligned with Sony. The series, which premiered in 2009, has featured a diverse array of performers (including Elvis Costello, Crowded House, and Kid Rock) playing for small crowds in distinctive venues.

As Universal’s Bruce Resnikoff put it to Billboard, “‘Artists Den’ separates itself from other shows because it is done in an intimate way with superstars [performing] a mix of current and past music that is easy to connect with as a musical event.”

Recorded at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium for the third season of the series, Plant’s ‘Live from the Artists Den’ captures him with Band of Joy, the group he assembled after recording the Grammy-winning ‘Raising Sand’ with Alison Krauss. (True to mercurial form, Plant has already assembled a new band, the Sensational Space Shifters, featuring Band of Joy member/recording artist/rumored Mrs. Plant Patty Griffin.)

As Billboard reports, the set list features six Led Zeppelin songs (‘Black Dog,’ ‘Houses of the Holy,’ ‘Tangerine,’ ‘Ramble On,’ ‘Gallows Pole,’ and ‘Rock and Roll’) as well as a handful of songs from the ‘Band of Joy’ album, assorted solo works, and the Page and Plant cut ‘Move Up.’

Plant is currently on the road with the Sensational Space Shifters, who will appear at a handful of festivals (including Womad and Sunflower River) this summer.
