A billion people around the world (or more) tuned into the World Cup final on Sunday.  The match, between Germany and Argentina, was the cap off of a widely popular series of matches filled with Cinderalla upsets, controversies and nail biting finishes.

The crew at the International Space Station also watched the match.  German astronaut, Alexander Gerst, was one happy rocket man as Germany went on to a 1-0 end of match victory.

Our friend Jim Rostohar, with family ties to our listening area, is the Director of Communications at the Johnson Space Center in Texas.  He sent us this photo of the guys in space watching the final World Cup match.  Jim's mom, Eleanor, is one of my biggest fans and listeners.  Thanks for the photo, Jim.
