Howard Talbot, 89, the Director of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown from 1976 to 1993, has died.

Under his administration, Talbot saw the Hall expand several times, including the Hall of Plaques where the stars are memorialized.  Howard was active in many areas of the Cooperstown community, and even served as mayor of the village in the 1960s.  After serving in an official capacity at the Hall for decades, he still volunteered his services for many more years following.
