Glimmerglass Film Days kick off today with the movie “Citizen Jane: Battle For The City” as the opening feature. It’s about Jane Jacobs who, of her own accord, resisted the establishment—the entrenched urban planners and developers of postwar America and in the process, changed our ways of understanding the nature of urban design and urban living. The showing is at 5:15 p.m. at the Otseaga Hotel on Lake Street in Cooperstown. Afterwards SUNY-Purchase Professor of Economics Sanford Ikeda will hold a discussion session.
