Don't you hate it when you can't get that last bit of ketchup out of the bottle?  What a waste!  Not to mention, now you have to try to clean it out for recycling purposes.  Believe it or not, some engineers at MIT came up with a solution to this age old problem.

These MIT engineers have invented a bottle coating called "LiquiGlide",  which when put inside a ketchup bottle, keeps the ketchup from sticking to the sides of the bottle. According to them, the ketchup floats right onto the hot dog.  You can imagine the applications for such a product: barbeque sauce, shampoo, toothpaste, well ... any kind of liquid like substance that comes in a bottle or tube.  It sounds wonderful I'm sure to those people like myself who hate to waste even the littlest amount of something.  I can't help but wonder though if the next thing we hear is that LiquiGlide causes cancer.  I guess until then, let it slide!  Click on the "Liquiglide" link above to see video of it working.  Very cool!
