While some are calling the first sighting of a robin as a harbinger of spring, others are calling the first sighting of a cronut as a sign of better days to come!

The donut/crosissant hybrid, which was the hottest sensation in New York City over the last year, has now made its way to Cafe Canole in New Hartford. They utilize a slightly different filling to separate itself from the trademarked cronut of NY fame. On the first day of sale, cronut crazies reportedly lined up tor two blocks around Cafe Canole to purchase and munch on this new pastry invention.

The cronut was invented by chef Dominique Ansel in New York City ion July of 2013. TIME magazine named the cronut as one of the "best 25 inventions of 2013."
