Cooperstown's Doubleday Field parking lot will be a hotbed of music, food, all kinds of vendors, and fun this Saturday and Sunday (May 20, 21) for the Cooperstown Spring Fling.  The Cooperstown Rotary Club puts this event on annually with the help of local organizations.  

Saturday, May 20th will include a vendor fair featuring great food, crafts, beverages, businesses and not for profit organizations: A Rotary Club Silent Auction featuring themed gift baskets will be held throughout the entire day. Plus. enjoy music along the way.  See the entertainment schedule below:
 
10 a.m. - Mr. Z - Country Blues by Jack Zito
11 a.m. - Saxalicious
12 p.m. - Small Town Big Band
1 p.m. - Blue Ribbon Cloggers
2 p.m. - O'Donnell Kelly School of Irish Dance
3 p.m. - Ah Coopella
4 p.m. - Cooperstown High School Jazz Ensemble, along with Mike Herman 

Not only will the Spring Fling be going on, but yard sale shoppers can check out the Cooperstown Community Yard Sale Day.  Over 40 homes throughout the village will be participating in Saturday's yard sale event. Also, Spring Fling is coordinating with Otsego Land Trust to promote the reopening of Brookwood Point, which will feature an afternoon filled with special activities at Brookwood Point from 12 - 5 pm. 

Sunday May 21st will feature a Live Auction beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Farmer's Market building: new and gently used household items, electronics and furniture will be auctioned off. Doors open at noon for viewing items.

A special community dinner will take place in the Doubleday Field Parking lot beginning at 4:00 p.m. and will include a burger and potato bar with all the fixings, as well as a brownie bar and beverages. Proceeds from the dinner will support the Cooperstown Food Pantry and Backpack program.

Cooperstown Spring Fling will conclude with an evening ecumenical prayer service in Lake Front Park beginning at 7:00 pm.
