Now that Hurricane Florence has made landfall, The National Weather Service out of Binghamton is predicting that a potential for flooding in our Central New York Region is a real possibility.

The weather service predicts that Florence will pass through the Carolinas and southern Appalachians this weekend, then head our way early next week. Along with that storm movement northward, could bring the potential for heavy rain and localized flooding in Central New York.

The National Weather Service is advising residents in our area to keep an eye on their weather forecasts to stay informed of potential flooding threats.
