Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the Oneonta SADD Strides For Safety 5K Run/Walk raised the bar with a new event for student teams of four: "The Battle of the Belts" event which is a timed race involving a vehicle and seat belts.

In our area, Spring Break is coming up next week for school kids.  It's a great opportunity for families to hit the road  for a change of scenery and shared family fun.  However, many families, either due to financial constraints or work schedules will be staying put.

There's nothing that helps us all appreciate the great outdoors more than a looooong, cold Winter.  People are so eager to spend time outside now that our Central New York weather is finally warming up a bit.

This rocks.  Almost literally.  I found this great Classic Rock Band Quiz that has been around for awhile unbeknownst to me.  After taking this brief quiz with easy questions, you get to find out what classic rock band you would be.  It's a personality test and it's very fun.

Meet the Piefer family of Oneonta.  Their 10 year old son, Logan, has Hunter Syndrome, a rare genetic disease and they wanted to do something big to help raise funds to find a cure for this life threatening disease and as a result, "Logan's Family Game Night For Hunter Syndrome" was born.

Join Oneonta World of Learning (OWL) this Saturday, March 15, 2014 for March Musical Madness.  A morning of hands on musical exploration at the Anderson Center for the Arts at Hartwick College, Oneonta, New York.  Drop in anytime between 10am and 12pm with a kid-centric concert at noon.

Townsquare Media is proud to support the efforts of the United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties.  We have put a powerhouse team together to participate in the 32nd Annual Pro-Am Invitational Bowling Tournament this Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 1pm at Holiday Lanes in Oneonta.

Here is something almost too good to be true...ALMOST.  SUNY Oneonta athletes are putting on a FREE "Kids in Sports Day" tomorrow, February 1st from 10am to 2pm in the Alumni Field House to promote healthy and fun activities during this cold winter when kids tend to be a lot less active. It's part of the students' community service pledge.

The Fokine Ballet Company's mice characters from the upcoming production of "The Nutcracker" will be participating in Oneonta's Holiday Parade, Saturday, November 23rd, starting with the Holiday parade at 11am.
