Britney’s First Week at Townsquare Media

As my first week here at Townsquare Media comes to an end, I have to say I've had a great time! I always thought I had a good idea of what happens at a radio station, as I grew up listening to the radio all the time. However, I was in no way prepared for the wild ride I was going to embark on! There is so much that goes into radio behind the scenes that no one would truly grasp unless they saw it for themselves. My idea of the radio DJ was also a little off. Listening to Leslie Ann, Tracie, and Big Chuck previously, they seemed like very serious and focused individuals… yea, not really! They are actually quite a wild crew! Maybe it's because of all the hard work they have to do.

On a more serious note, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the DJs and everyone here at Townsquare Media for making me feel so welcome, and showing me a great time my first week. They have allowed me to be involved in many aspects of radio from being on the air with Leslie Ann, to taking photos of breaking news, to writing my own pieces. I can't wait to see what more they have to throw at me!
