BREAKING NEWS: SCREEN LEGEND LAUREN BACALL HAS DIED

Lauren Bacall, she of the limpid eyes, husky voice and indomitable spirit, has died in New York City at 89.  Her marriage to screen legend Humphrey Bogart garnered as much attention as her many movie roles did.  She was never nominated for an Oscar in her fifty year career, but she did win Tony Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
