It’s the hottest time of the year in Central New York. This week and next will continue to be hot, with temperatures hovering around the mid 80's, higher with the heat index, according to Ray Brady, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Binghamton. Bassett Medical Center officials said Tuesday that there have been several people in the emergency room with symptoms of dehydration, dizziness and exhaustion, likely related to the heat. Plus, Oneonta Police have responded to several calls of pets left in hot cars.
