Delaware County Sheriff's Office Investigators arrested a Queens, New York, man Tuesday evening on a felony drug possession charge following the execution of a search warrant in the Town of Sidney. The search warrant was obtained following a five month heroin trafficking investigation conducted by members of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, Village of Sidney Police Department, Delaware County Probation Department and the Broome County Special Investigations Task Force.

In part, this investigation focused on heroin trafficking in and from the City of Binghamton to the Town and Village of Sidney area. Sheriff’s Investigators charged 31 year old Sean Dingle with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after seizing 100 bags of heroin that Dingle allegedly intended to sell from his vehicle while within the State DEC’s Unadilla public fishing access lot located on River Road in the Town of Sidney, along with a small quantity of marijuana. Dingle was arraigned in the Town of Sidney Court on the class B felony drug possession charge and was subsequently remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility without bail pending a future court appearance.
