Area Storm Zaps Power For Thousands
After severe thunderstorms moved through the Central New York region on Friday night, 10,800 NYSEG customers were left without power. By Saturday, 4500 were still powerless. According to a NYSEG press release, 90% of the storm related outages were restored by 8pm last night. The remaining customers should have power restored today.
