I must admit that probably after the age of 14 or 15, April Fool's Day ceased to exist on my radar.  I don't have a tendency to want to prank people.  It takes too much effort to come up with a unique idea and then you have to execute it.  Then, chances are good that whomever you decide is going to be the receiver of this tom foolery is going to be super annoyed with you and want to pay you back in kind.  No thanks, I'd rather leave the whole thing alone.

However, my April Fool's Day attitude was a different story when it came to my kids. As soon as they were old enough to create their own adorable pranks on me and my husband, I developed an appreciation for April Fool's Day.  They were very fond of telling us that they were failing a particular subject or some other tidbit that they thought would upset us or make us mad.  Ha!  Their delivery of these tall tales was way too adorable and completely unbelievable and would always make me laugh or smile.  Now I look forward to finding out what they are going to come up with next. Let's hope they don't get good at it!
